How to Join the Mt. Baker Kennel Club

            First, come and visit us.  We believe by attending a few of our meetings you will gain a better understanding of our Club, our activities, and or goals.  Of equal importance, you will meet other members and determine if you share our common interests.  Attending three meetings will give you a chance to decide if our organization is something you would like to be a part of.

Election to Membership

            Prospective membership applicants must attend three meetings and work one dog show, prior to being eligible for membership.

            Membership in the Mt. Baker Kennel Club has many benefits, as it does obligations.  We offer a variety of activities that include:

• Two All-Breed Dog Shows and Obedience and Rally Trials

• Annual Christmas Party

• Annual Awards Banquet where plaques are awarded to members achieving success in showing their dogs in Conformation, Obedience, Agility, and Rally.

• Annual Summer Picnic

• School and Nursing Home visits with our dogs

• Speakers at General Meetings on various topics:  health, breeding, dogs and the law, and veterinary information

• Canine Good Citizen Testing

Club members organize and staff all Club activities.  As a new member, you will be asked to do your part to achieve success in our shared activities.  We energetically and sincerely encourage you to join the fancy in the fun an camaraderie inherent in our hobby – Purebred Dogs.
